Rankings #5 released |

3,
2004 - Despite losing its first game of
the season, the University of Rhode Island remains
the #1 ranked team in the country for the second
consecutive ranking. Rhode Island received 27 of
a possible 35 first-place votes, while Penn State
(5), Ohio (2), and Lindenwood (1) received the
other first-place votes. Michigan-Dearborn was
the big gainer in the polls, jumping up 7 spots,
from #14 to #7, after taking out former #1 Penn
State and current #1 Rhode Island over the past
three weekends, and going 10-1-0 since October
29.
The
next ranking will be released on Friday, December
17.
