24, 2004 - The
Illini Hockey Club would like to offer it condolences
to the family and friends of Arthur (Artie) Beck
Olson who passed away this past week. Art, age 26,
who played two seasons with the Illini in 98-99 and
00-01, died suddenly of a heart
aneurysm while on vacation in
Venice,
Italy, with loved ones. Arthur was the devoted
husband of Lauren M. (Brown); loving son of Arthur
J. and Linda (Beck) Olson; inspiring brother
to Matthew and Patrick Olson; cherished grandson
to Robert L. and A. Nadine Beck, and the late Arthur
C. and Virginia C. Olson; precious son-in-law of
James and Linda Brown; and loyal nephew and cousin
to many. In lieu of flowers, contributions
may be made to Art Olson Ministry Fund, Inc., 11555
