Garnet
Litherland and tem mates |
April
20, 2004 - After a long and agonizing struggle
through many treatments
in St. Louis, Garnet Litherland and those closest to
her have decided there is nothing more the doctors
can do. She has recently returned to Champaign where
she will enter a hospice program. Her friends and family
will make every last attempt to make her feel as comfortable
as possible.
On behalf of the Women's Ice Hockey Club and Garnet
Litherland, I would like to thank all of you for
your continued support and generosity. Again, we
raised over $1,500 for Garnet so far, and that speaks
volumes about how much you genuinely care about her.
There are many fundraisers going on to make sure
Garnet has everything she needs. There will be Rat
Hockey at the U of I Ice Arena on Saturday night
(4/24) and a few other events to follow.
If you are interested in contributing
to the Garnet Litherland Leukemia Fund, please
contact me via e-mail (aaberman@uiuc.edu)
or by phone.
Thanks again for your support, and I look forward
to hearing from all of you.
Sincerely,
Ari Aberman
