Illini move up a notch.
The Latest ACHA rankings are out.

October 9, 2003 - The latest rankings are out for the American Collegiate Hockey Association's Division One teams and the Illini move up a notch to number two as Ohio University tumbles down to the number five slot. Obviously due to a slow start for the Bobcats, losing the first three of the five games they played, voters changed their minds and lowered their expectations for the Ohio team. Once again Penn State was the overwhelming choice for the top spot in the first ranking of the 2003-04 season, getting 28 of a possible 30 first-place votes. The Lions will make their season debut on Friday against number six Iowa State.
