2003-2004 Pre-Season Poll

September 26, 2003 - The results of the American Collegiate Hockey Association's pre-season rankings poll have been released and the Illini are ranked third after receiving just two first place votes. The top slot was given to the Icers of Penn State, the ACHA Division 1 defending champions, who recieved twenty four out of twenty eight first place votes and second place went to the Bobcats of Ohio University, who also received two of the first place votes. The first regular season rankings will be released on October 10th after the teams have had a chance to get a few games under their belts. The Illini were ranked number one for the first time ever last season, and would surely like to move up to the top spot once again. The top 20 rankings are listed below.
